The 2020 SoCo Invitational
The SoCo Invitational Virtual Livestock Show was developed by local agriculturalists collaborating with community members and livestock leaders to support the youth livestock exhibitors of Sonoma County and provide an avenue for them to showcase their skills raising, fitting and showing their market animals with a competitive and positive attitude.

ENTRY DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JULY 31ST BY 5PM
1. Only market animals purchased with the intent to show at the Sonoma County Fair are eligible. All entered animals should have a Sonoma County Fair issued tag in the ear. However, all entered animals MUST have some form of identification(scrapie tag, notches, tattoo or tag) in the ear, preferably the County Fair tag. This show was created for all potential Sonoma County Fair individuals to showcase the market project they are raising and if you meet that criteria we welcome you to enter this show and participate in this wonderful opportunity for our youth. NOTE: Auction status at Sonoma County is irrelevant to participate in this show.
2. Exhibitors will need to print SoCo Invitational exhibitor ID card. This ID card must be clearly visible on the exhibitor in the one of the following locations; on a show clip, pinned to arm, back or pocket. ID cards will be available on this website or FB page by Thursday July 16th.
3. Exhibitors must be members in good standing in their 4H clubs and FFA chapters. Additionally the clubs or chapters must be eligible to participate in the Sonoma County Fair.
4. A MAXIMUM of two(2) entries per exhibitor. Each entry must be shown by the exhibitor/owner. Entry fees are $15.00 per entry. Entry fee is not refundable. Each exhibitor will receive a show T-Shirt. Designate size on entry form. All sizes are adult unisex.
5. Breed divisions will be determined by number of entries. With no more than five(5) breed division per species. We will do our best to keep breed division uniform between affiliations but ultimately they are based on the number of entries. Species will be broken up into 4H and FFA divisions. Independent Juniors and Grange will enter and show in the 4H species division.
6. Classes will be determined by weight submitted. Please take care that the weight entered is CURRENT, correct and accurate.
Acceptable Weights
Beef 1000 minimum
Goats 60 minimum
Swine 220 - 285 lbs
Sheep 100 minimum
7. All weight classes will be broken by natural separation with a maximum of 10 in each class.Again, this class breakdown as based on the total number of entries.
8. Showmanship divisions will be 4H Novice, Junior, Senior. FFA Novice, Advanced. Please note Novice is for individuals who are in their first year of the project. Classes will be broken based on entries numbers. This requires a separate entry submission, however your video may be reused but remember to be also exhibiting your showmanship abilities i.e. eye contact, body positioning and the relationship between you and the animal. One entry per exhibitor.
9. Awards will be based on sponsorships but will follow below guidelines:
Classes: 1st – 5th place—Ribbons
Breed Champion and Reserve Breed Champions--Banner
Grand Champion and Reserve Champion — Banner
Supreme Champion and Reserve Supreme Champion of a species — Banner and Award
10. Each entry will require a video submission, sample video submissions are available on the website. Please review video requirements carefully, edited videos or videos with overlays will not be accepted.
11. Judges decisions are final. There are no protests. Judges will be posted prior to the entry deadline on this website. Judges will provide oral reasons.
12. ENTRY FEES ARE $15.00 each animal entry-limited to two entries per exhibitor, $5.00 showmanship-one entry per exhibitor. Entry fee MUST be paid to finalize entry process. An invoice will be emailed to you with instructions upon submission of entry.

Click the link to fill out the entry form. Each exhibitor must fill out their own form. The form will create an Entry Fee Invoice with payment instructions. ENTRIES AND PAYMENTS ARE DUE JULY 31st at 5pm.

Invoice will be sent after Entry Form is completed. You must "Add a Note" (SoCo Invitational Entry Fee - Exhibitor First and Last Name) to the payment to indicate who's entries are being paid. Entries are not valid until payment is received.
